Most people haven’t the time to study the entirety of the Federalist Papers. In order to explain the “Compound government” created by the Founders, which was the genius of the Constitution, we have selected the most poignant Papers and hi-lited those paragraphs we deemed most instructive.

The Founders’ discussion about the enumeration of powers to the Federal govenment can be read under the column “Read 1st”. The “Read also” column contains additional insights into this structure of the national government in relation to he States. “Government Theory” includes their discussions concerning basic ideas about Monarchies, Pure Democracy, Republics, Factions, and other thoughts that lead them to this inspired document, the U.S. Constitution.
